DO NOT Connect Natural Gas Appliances to a Propane Gas Source
Thank you for your patience during this restoration process.
While you are waiting for natural gas service to be restored to your home, DO NOT connect your natural gas appliances to a propane gas source.
If you have already connected your natural gas appliances to propane, or are unsure of your connection, please contact a licensed plumber to assess your propane connection.
Attempting to burn propane in natural gas appliances can cause the appliance to catch fire. It can also cause dangerous carbon monoxide levels, even if your appliance appears to be working.
Only a licensed professional can properly convert your appliances to an alternative fuel source like propane. The fuel source must be approved by your local fire department and must follow the required permitting process.
For further information, contact your local fire department.
