Property Claims Center Opens Tuesday in Andover

Hours are 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. today

Customers in need of assistance related to last week’s natural gas incident in Merrimack Valley can receive help at a second location starting today.

Affected residents can visit the Columbia Gas Property Claims Center at Old Town Hall, 20 Main St., in Andover on Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Parking is available in the back of the center.

Another Property Claims Center location is open today from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 1 Market St. in Lawrence. Residents in need of language translation services at the Property Claims Center are advised to visit the Lawrence location.

Verbal confirmation of loss, valid photo identification, proof of residency in affected area and an in-person meeting at the Property Claims Center will establish an initial claim and a monetary advance payment toward loss to meet immediate needs for evacuation expenses, food spoilage, child care costs, etc. Residents are reminded to keep track of receipts and expenses for reimbursement, as well as any claims for child care, lost wages and lost food.

Customers unable to visit one of the claims centers can call 1-800-590-5571 to file a claim.
