Columbia Gas will be compensating customers for all losses reasonably related to the September 27 gas leak and evacuation in South Lawrence caused by third-party damage to our pipeline. All claims must be documented and/or verified and will only be approved for those in the area affected by the September 27 incident. For those customers who have been verified as living in the area affected by the power outage, Columbia Gas will compensate for reasonable food spoilage.
Customers can file a claim or check on the status of their existing claim by calling 1-800-590-5571. If you are filing a new claim, you will be asked to provide your contact information so a claims adjuster can follow up within 24-72 hours to begin the process.
